What is roller derby!?
Roller derby is a fast-paced, full-contact sport played on roller skates, and it’s as empowering as it is exciting.
Two teams skate around an oval track, working together to help their jammer score points by passing the opposing team… all while blocking, strategizing, and adapting in real time. It’s physical, it’s tactical, and it’s seriously fun to watch.
But derby is more than just a sport.
It’s a community.
We are athletes, artists, parents, students, professionals, and total beginners. Some of us had never put on skates before joining. Some came for fitness, some for friendship, and some just wanted to try something new.
No matter how you show up, there’s a place for you here.
Want to join?
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to be “in shape.”
You just need to be curious enough to try.
We’re always looking for new members!! Both skating and non-skating, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
Skaters
Our beginner-friendly bootcamp will teach you:
How to skate (yes, even from scratch)
Derby rules and gameplay
Skills, strategy, and safety
Officials & Volunteers
Not into skating? We need you too!
Help make derby happen with roles like:
Referees (on skates)
Non-skating officials (timers, scorekeepers, etc.)
Event support, merch, media, and more
No experience needed, we’ll train you.
Come as you are. Stay for the community.
JUNIORS PROGRAM (AGES 7–17)
Our Juniors program is a fun, supportive space where kids and teens can build confidence, learn new skills, and be part of an incredible team.
No skating experience? No problem, we’ll teach them!
What they’ll gain:
Skating skills and athletic development
Teamwork, leadership, and resilience
Confidence both on and off the track
We welcome all genders and offer rolling enrollment, so new skaters can join anytime.
